Tubas- Zadona For Agricultural Products, a Sinokrot Global Group (SGG) company, hosted in its Tubas factories yesterday the British Consul, Dr. Alastair McPhail, and his Economic Advisor Michael Jilleh, along with the Mayor of Tubas and Northern fields, Ribhi Khundakji. The visit took place during the cucumber pickle season in Palestine and the guests were welcomed by the Chairman of Zadona, Eng. Mazen Sinokrot, with his Board Members and General Manager. Eng. Sinokrot showed the visiting delegation the different phases of producing pickles and informed them of the relationship that the factory has with local farmers.
Zadona’s factory is located at the center of Al Far’a and Tubas fields and has contracts with tens of farmers to bring an amount of 3 tons of cucumbers, peppers, eggplant, and olives to the factory. Eng. Sinokrot noted “Zadona Factory, with its large production capacity, has increased the area of agricultural land through its nine year investment period. It provides more than 2,000 annual direct jobs to the families of the area, and provides eighty permanent jobs for employees at the factory.” He further added that new production lines have been added in the year 2015 to produce a variety of other beans and vegetables such as: Hummus, beans, peas, and carrots and peas. The production will also expand to include in the coming period: tomato paste, yellow corn, and hot sauce. The British Consul was impressed with the high quality products at Zadona, especially that the factory exports its goods to American, British, Jordanian and Gulf Markets, as well as the 48 market.
It is worth noting that Sinokrot Global Group (SGG) was the first Palestinian company to invest in growing and packing herbs and medicinal plants with compliance with the highest quality standards. SGG plants more that 400 dunums of greenhouses with a solid infrastructure for farms and packing houses based on international quality standards. Finally, Eng. Sinokrot and the board of Zadona expressed their appreciation and gratitude to the Mayor of Tubas and the British Consul for paying their factories a warm visit.
